The Chilean Government is understandably very upset with Google Earth for moving one of its villages, Villa O’Higgins to their neighbouring country, Argentina reports CNET News.com. Villa O’Higgins which is around 1,000 miles to the South of Santiago, the capital city of Chile is in fact named after a Chilean hero and its 1,100 residents do live to the left of the yellow line (See screenshot below) instead of to the right as shown. The Chilean Government has requested Google to rectify its errors and change its map markers to reflect that fact.

Google to its defence however has said that this area has a very complicated border; and that the two countries have almost gone to war over it. I’m wondering what will happen if, for example, if Alaska is classified under Canada
. A war perhaps
