Sooner or later, you’re going to find that your iPhone is flooded with apps that you don’t even need – some silly game you don’t even play any more, or some office tool you’ve never touched.

While installing an application is very straightforward, the “Uninstall” button is not something that can be found in any menu.

Here’s what you should do to uninstall apps from your iPhone or iPod Touch:

Uninstalling apps from your iPhone/iPod Touch

  • Go to your home screen
  • Press and hold down your finger on any app in the home screen
  • All the icons start to shake and a small “x” appears on the corner of each.
  • Removing an application is as easy as touching the little “x” (might not be so easy if you have big fingers, though :P )
  • You’ll see a confirmation box. Hit “Delete” to remove the app, or “Cancel” to chicken out.
  • Now press the home button to get out of app-removal mode
