Recently released was Google’s URL shortening service, Goo.gl.
Unfortunately, this service only allows you to make short URLs with Google Toolbar or FeedBurner.
However, now that Goo.gl has been out in the wild for a few days, there are two easy ways to shorten URLs with Goo.gl without having to use the toolbar.
Here’s how:
Google Chrome extension
Shortening a URL with Goo.gl becomes child’s play with this extension. Once installed, you can click the handy button in the toolbar to generate a shortened URL of the current page.

Goo.gl Online Tool
If you don’t have Chrome or you don’t want to install the extension, you can always use this site to shorten your URLs. Just paste the URL you want shortened and click the “Shorten” button.

Or, you could just use any one of these services.
