Do you regularly format your emails? Change the font, size, or colour?
If you do, then you’ve definitely wished you could set this permanently rather than do it each time you send an email.
A new Gmail labs feature allows you set default formatting for outgoing messages, so that you don’t have to fiddle with it each time you email somebody.

Enable Default Text Styling
Enabling this feature is no different from enabling other labs items.
- Click the small green beaker icon in the top right corner (next to settings).
- Scroll down till you see “Default Text Styling
- Click the “Enable” radio button.
Now head to your Gmail settings page.
Under general settings, you’ll see a “Default Text Style” box, where you can adjust the formatting to use every time you send an email.
So if you have the habit of sending emails with a huge purple font, you don’t have to set it manually for each email any more!
