If you’ve ever felt the need to backup all the data on your Windows Mobile phone, your contacts, photos, et all, this is for you. Some of them do local backups, some do it onto a cloud. Choose whichever suits you best!
1. ZYB
ZYB is a WinMo app that backs up your contact information to the cloud and keeps it in sync. You can sign up for free on the ZYB site.
Apart from keeping your contacts backed up and in sync, it can view updates from social networking sites, like Facebook, Twitter, Flicker, or your favourite blog.
It even tells you when your friends are nearby.
2. Lookout Mobile Security
Lookout is a free security + backup application for you WinMo. It keeps your contacts and photos in sync with the cloud, as well as keep your phone secure.
Lookout features an antivirus and a firewall that automatically runs in the background, keeping your phone safe from malware.
Another feature is that it can track lost phones using the onboard GPS to transmit signals indicating it’s whereabouts.
3. PIM Backup
PIM Backup is a local backup utility for Windows Mobile that can backup contacts, appointments, call logs, messages, speed dials and tasks. The nifty little app even allows you to schedule backups! It doesn’t always backup emails though.

4. Microsoft MyPhone
Microsoft’s own offering for Windows Mobile – MyPhone. A free service that lets you sync your contacts, appointments, tasks, photos, videos, messages, songs, browser favourites and documents onto MyPhone’s free 200MB of online storage space. Sign up for Microsoft MyPhone.
