Google has reached an agreement with Twitter to provide real time search results that include updates from twitter users along with search results for static pages.
Google has blogged about it.

This is going to revolutionise search!
Er, I’m not so sure. You see, there are any number of realtime search-engines that already exist, that aggregate stories from many social media sites including Twitter, like Scoopler and Twazzup.
So what Google is going to do is just bring it all to the masses who use Google to search for everything.
Though the way they implement it is the question. Realtime results will clutter up Google and make a big mess unless they do it properly.
If they do it nicely, however (very likely), they will change the way we look at search.
Imagine Googling for a fast food joint and getting the tweets of the people who’ve eaten there.
Unlike static pages, there is no question of PageRank (which deals with how sites link to each other).
Maybe Google will introduce a TweetRank? Based on the number of followers, RTs, and Tweetbacks?
Indiblogger has an interesting list of how he’d like to see Twitter search presented.
You’re not going to see this feature for a while (unless Google has been secretly developing it for the past couple of years).
Do you think this holds promise? Or is it the introduction of just another realtime search engine?
