Torrents with low seeders give very poor downloading speeds and often end up being dead or inactive torrents, just when they are about to finish. There is a way to prevent the seed count of a torrent becoming zero or to maintain a torrent from becoming dead near the end.

How to apply a tracker to a torrent in uTorrent:

Since the most commonly used BitTorrent client is uTorrent, I’ve explained how one applies these trackers in uTorrent. For most other torrent clients, the procedure is similar.

Right-Click on the torrent which is very slow and go to Properties

In the Properties window, under the General tab, you’ll notice a list of existing trackers for the selected torrent(usually one tracker). ‘Copy’ the list from above and ‘Paste’ it into this window.

Before you click OK, ensure that you have clicked on the ‘Enable DHT’ and ‘Peer Exchange’ check-boxes. Now click ‘OK’ and by this setting you’ll discover any public users on the selected torrent.

Note: Do NOTattempt this trick with private torrents or else you’ll get banned from the tracker. Use this tip with torrents you find at mininova, thepiratebay etc.
