A lot seems to be happening at Twitter off late. First was a tweet from the Twitter Co-Founder Evan Williams yesterday asking followers to help Twitter find a Spam Engineer. As you can see below, there are looking for someone from a big search engine (do I read that as Google?) or email company (Yahoo!? or is it Google again?).

I’d like to bring to your notice that Twitter recruited a ‘Spam Marshal’ in August. This move of recruiting a Spam Engineer only reinforces the view that Twitter is taking Spam seriously! That’s good news for all Twitterers!
Another change that you can see in Twitter is the way it handles suspended spam accounts. Now it replaces the entire suspended page instead of redacting the Web links. However, the profiles are still searchable.

If you would like to report an account as spam, you can do that by following @spam, and sending them a direct message with information on the spam account.
The Second big news is that Twitter has a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Top Twitter executives, Evan Williams will be replacing Jack Dorsey as CEO and Jack will take over Evan’s position as Chairman of the Board. Evan Williams was the Chief Product Officer (CPO).

Quoting Evan Williams, the new CEO – “We’re entering a new phase now and there are new kinds of challenges ahead. Healthy companies acknowledge the need for change even during the best of times. As Twitter grows both internally and externally, we took a good look at our path forward and saw the need for a focused approach from a single leader.”
All the best Twitter
