Dear Undisclosed,
Unfortunately, although your account is so called “deactivated”, you are still able to log into your account. If you don’t log into your account for 120 days, then the account ‘may’ be permanently removed/deleted so says hotmail. If you log in within 120 days, the account may be reactivated and used again, but all your contacts, messages, etc. from before will not be there. It sucks having to wait 120 days for it to officially be closed out. I wanted mine closed out now =/

it says that my account has been deactivated but i can still log into my account?? does it take 24-48 hours for it to process and delete??

when I go to use internet the hot mail screen pops up and I can not get to use the internte. I have nof desire to use hot mail and would like to eliminate this screen all together. Please advise Frustrated

Thanks for that tip Alex! I’m sure a lot of people don’t think of this when they do change their email addresses.
