Over the years, we end up creating a dozen email addresses and end up not knowing how to close them. More so because the account opening process is well documented while the account closing is not (Obviously they don’t want you to close your account ). I had closed my Hotmail account a few days back and for all others who want to close theirs, this is what you have to do.

To close your Hotmail/Windows Live account, do the following

1. Backup all your important mail by sending them all to your alternate email address.
2. Backup all your contacts and inform them that you will not be using this email address anymore and give them your alternate email address.
3. Go to the Close your account page.
4. Click Close Account.

An easier way to do the same would be to not use Hotmail/Windows Live for 120 days after which they would automatically deactivate/close your account.

What will they do to my mails?
If you close your Hotmail/Windows Live account, all mail will be deleted and your account will be marked inactive. Any mails sent after you have closed your account will bounce back to the sender with an error message.

One of my cousins was playing around with my laptop last night and somehow removed the filenames/foldernames in Thumbnail view (I use Windows XP Home). I have been breaking my head since then to find out how this is possible. Google surprisingly hasn’t given me an answer yet. The filenames/foldernames aren’t appearing in that particular folder but appear in all other folders. When I switch over to the list view or detail view, I can see the filenames or foldernames. Can someone help me out please? You can notice in the screenshot that the space between two folders has also reduced. I have tried realigning etc but made no progress. Microsoft Support did not help me either.

Help me please!!

Update: The problem was solved, thanks to Vasisht. Quoting his comment here.

Choose another view, say detailed view. Now, when choosing thumbnail view again, press shift and then press thumbnail view. You will get your names back!

This is a great opportunity for any Advertiser to increase his back links to his/her site which directly contributes to increased visibility and popularity of the website on the Internet.

Overall, I feel Smorty will cater to all the new bloggers who want to get paid for blogging and help them sustain till they are accepted by Review Me, PayPerPost etc which have higher requirements and larger payouts.

Ratatataaa…what? Ratatouille (pronounced rat-a-tooey) is the next movie from Pixar. If you haven’t heard of it, lets get acquainted with it!

Ratatouille is the story of a rat named Remy, who wants to be a chef. He tries hard, but finds himself chased out of kitchens, hanging for his dear life. That’s when he meets a scullery guy named Linguini. Even though Linguine cannot understand what the rat says, he gets the point that the rat understands him. Slowly they become good friends, and with Linguini’s help, Remy is on the path to realise his dream.

And if that is not charming enough, have a look at the trailers here. The Pixar people have taken great pains to make the food look edible. The animation, I heard, is supposed to be great too, considering that the lad and the rat don’t talk to each other, but just communicate through nods and frowns.
