News has just come around that Minglebox, the Indian Social Networking Site started by three IIT Delhi alumni - Kavita Iyer, Sanjay Aggarwal and Sushma Abburi have received $7 million in funding from Sequoia Capital India.
Minglebox’s other Indian competitors are Yaari, which is being widely marketed via Orkut, and Jhoom which yet to become well known. Minglebox, as most people know by now has taken a different approach to social networking. They are focused on creating communities for colleges and are basically trying to emulate a college hangout online.
The funding is said to be used for product development, technology innovation and expansion of market reach.
